Getting Started

The Onboarding Wizard

A step-by-step walkthrough of Borker's onboarding flow.

After signing up and confirming your email, Borker walks you through a guided setup. The wizard runs an AI analysis of your brand and auto-generates your initial configuration.

The whole flow takes 5–10 minutes.

Workspace name

Pick a name for your workspace. This is the container for your brand's content, settings, and channels — most users have one workspace per brand.

You can rename it later in Settings → Workspace.

Pick a plan

Choose between BYOK (monthly) and Lifetime (one-time). Both plans include all features and require your own Anthropic API key in the next step.

PlanPriceBest for
BYOK$9/moTry it out, cancel anytime
Lifetime$149 onceLong-term users

You'll be redirected to Stripe checkout to complete payment, then returned to the next step.

See Plan Comparison for details.

Anthropic API key

Add your Anthropic API key. This is the only external service Borker needs from you — Claude writes all your content.

Get your key at console.anthropic.com, paste it into the form, and continue. The key is validated immediately.

Borker doesn't proxy Claude — your key calls Anthropic directly. You pay Anthropic for token usage (typically $0.01–0.05 per post).

Brand context

Tell Borker about your brand:

  • Website URL (required): Borker fetches your site and reads your positioning, terminology, and style
  • Additional URLs (optional): up to 5 more URLs (e.g. an About page, a manifesto, your best blog posts) that help the AI understand you
  • Free text (optional): anything else you want the AI to know — your audience, your differentiators, what you don't want to talk about

The more context you provide, the better your generated brand voice will be. But you can refine everything later in Settings.

Analyzing

Borker fetches your URLs and runs a 6-step analysis using Claude:

  1. Crawling your site and additional URLs
  2. Reading your existing content for voice and tone
  3. Detecting topics you write about
  4. Inferring schedule — what cadence makes sense for your industry
  5. Suggesting platforms based on your content type
  6. Finding feeds — RSS sources relevant to your space

This typically takes 30–60 seconds. You'll see live progress as each step runs.

Review: Brand & Voice

The first review screen shows the brand voice config the AI generated:

  • Brand identity: name, tagline, motto, mission, what you are
  • Voice attributes: 5 sliders (formality, friendliness, clarity, brevity, technical depth)
  • Industry positives and terms to use/avoid
  • Sample posts showing how X and LinkedIn output will sound

Review and edit anything that's off. You can tweak every field before moving on, or change them later in Settings → Brand & Voice.

Review: Schedule

The second review screen shows the proposed weekly posting schedule and timing constraints:

  • Calendar slots: when to post each week (day + time + platform)
  • Max posts per day, min hours between posts, timezone

Adjust slots by clicking + or - in the day columns, or accept the defaults. You can refine this later in Settings → Schedule.

Review: Platforms

Pick which platforms you want to use: X, LinkedIn, Farcaster, Paragraph. The AI proposes a default set based on your industry and content type — you can deselect any you don't want.

This step doesn't actually connect channels yet (that comes after onboarding). It just enables the platforms in your config.

Review: Feeds

Borker proposes RSS feeds to monitor for industry news, based on your brand and topics. Each feed has a relevance score showing how well it matches your space.

Check the feeds you want, deselect the ones you don't, and continue. You can add more later in Settings → News.

Complete

The wizard saves all your settings and creates your workspace. You're dropped into the Command Center — your home view.

Next steps:

  1. Connect your social accounts in Settings → Channels (see Connecting Channels)
  2. Run your first workflow by clicking Run workflow on the Command Center, or use the prompt bar to create a single post
  3. Review what gets generated in the Pipeline → Review tab

What gets created during onboarding

After you finish the wizard, your workspace has:

  • Brand voice config: name, mission, tone, terms to use/avoid
  • Voice attribute sliders: formality, friendliness, clarity, brevity, technical depth
  • Calendar slots: weekly posting schedule
  • Topic pools: based on the AI analysis
  • News feeds: industry RSS sources you selected

You can change any of these from the Settings page at any time.

Channels (X, LinkedIn, etc.) are not connected during onboarding. After completing the wizard, go to Settings → Channels → + Connect account to link your social accounts. See Connecting Channels.
